We called upon Tiger Eye Consulting because we needed to improve the organisation of our I.T. and filing systems and streamline our workflow.

Like many business we found that as the many and varied I.T. systems accumulate over the years they struggle to work together. Individually they are fine, but we were acutely aware of the need to consolidate and modernise. We were also aware that from a business continuity and compliance standpoint we needed to make improvements. At that stage we had no document management system and undertook no scanning – but we did have a lot of files taking up costly space in a central London location.

Members of our management team had worked with Tiger Eye before and spoke highly of them so we brought them in and they started by analysing our business.

The analysis only took a day or so but it was clearly enough to understand the I.T. systems that we used and the way we organised ourselves. They then came back with some proposals and a costing which enabled us to see a way ahead where we could make meaningful improvements and realise significant cost benefits.

The most obvious areas where Tiger Eye helped us were, firstly, consolidating our legacy systems together so that they worked together more efficiently. For example our billing system had been stand-alone, but they were able to get it ‘to talk' to other software thereby reducing the amount of re-keying of data and so improving our productivity.

The second area that they focused on was the provision of a range of software that allowed us to implement a document and content management system. They also recommended a suitable scanning solution. They customised our existing software, so it was an entirely bespoke solution, tailored to our individual business needs.

Ultimately all of our electronic documents became stored in one place and they were easily accessible – for those who needed them - yet entirely secure.

Once we had agreed to proceed they advised our in-house trainers on technical and change management training and also shared the necessary knowledge with our I.T. experts. In addition they provided technical support as we went live and thereafter to around 100 employees who were impacted by the project.

Along with the obvious benefits such as streamlining our ways of working and making us more efficient, it sticks in my mind that this work played an important part in enabling us to release a whole floor of premises to rental. When one considers the cost of floor space in London I hardly need to emphasise the financial benefit. So I think contracting Tiger Eye has saved us money, both in the short and long term.
