Simon Avery will join Tiger Eye, the UK-based legal technology specialist, this December. The move follows Avery’s recent departure from Morae Global (previously Phoenix Business Solutions), where he held a number of senior leadership roles including Managing Director, his most recent position.
Avery has a wealth of experience in legal technology, with a career spanning over 20 years in the industry, including a wide range of roles within leading law firms and vendor-side. Avery has worked in-house within IT teams at a number of law firms including Harbottle & Lewis, IBB Law (acquired by Knights earlier this year) and Nabarro (which merged with CMS in 2017), where his focus was predominantly enterprise technologies such as document management platforms. Given his significant experience in the industry as well as his in-depth understanding of technologies, Avery is highly regarded in the iManage community, and is trusted for both his knowledge and practical technical skillset.
In the newly formed role of Head of Client Strategy at Tiger Eye, Avery’s work will centre on advising Tiger Eye’s clients and collaborating with them, focusing on key areas including strategy, innovation, and transformation. Avery will directly partner with clients to create iManage roadmaps and actionable strategies that drive progress towards wider initiatives, providing a unique blend of technical consultancy and client success support. Common challenges addressed through Avery’s work will include efficiency, security and user adoption.
As Head of Client Strategy, Avery will also work with clients to maximise their investment in technology by increasing platform utilisation. Avery will support clients to make the most of key cloud-only iManage features such as iManage Co-Authoring, which can deliver significant time-savings when adopted effectively.
Commenting on his move, Avery added: “There is a real energy around Tiger Eye at the moment. Their reach continues to grow given the provider’s fantastic reputation in the market. I proactively approached Tiger Eye directly, as I was drawn in particular by the firm’s brand, heritage, and the newly announced purpose: Harnessing Knowledge, Unleashing Potential. From my perspective and experience, Tiger Eye demonstrated a clear understanding of the market in moving in a distinctive, knowledge-centric direction – and I wanted to be a part of the team bringing that to life.”
