Interview | 12th February 2026
Join us in wishing a warm welcome to Mike Thorpe, the newest consultant to join our team through Tiger Eye’s strategic iManage Partnership alliance with KoP Consultancy. Read below to hear more about Mike’s background, expertise and his areas of focus, highlighted in this short interview.
1. What have you been focusing on in your first few weeks at Tiger Eye?
I have hit the ground running, as it has been a busy few months here at Tiger Eye since I joined back in November of last year.
I spent most of my first few weeks introducing the brilliant team at Tiger Eye to my existing customers, highlighting Tiger Eye’s new services including their iManage Proactive Platform Support service, which is quite unique in the market. All of KoP Consultancy’s customers have been extremely impressed with the initial response and the support they have all already started to receive from Tiger Eye’s iManage experts.
There is so much exciting change coming to the iManage platform via the roadmap, and so we knew early on that we wanted to share this news with firms in the Channel Islands via an in-person event. So, I have spent quite some time collaborating with the teams at iManage and Tiger Eye to bring this to life.
Our iManage Executive Briefing will take place in Jersey on the 25th of February, and I’m really looking forward to the event. We’ve already had great uptake for the session, and I’m pleased to give our attendees the opportunity to meet with iManage specialists, explore the roadmap and discuss the platform with other iManage users. As always, I’m also making the most of my time in Jersey, getting out to see clients (and prospective clients) as well as other IT suppliers and partners, including Quantios and PlainSail.
2. How will you use your own experience to help firms to make the most of iManage?
Over the years I have developed a great understanding of Trust and Administration, Fund Management and Wealth Management organisations. This is partially due to my own career experience, but also through KoP Consultancy’s relationships with customers like Ocorian, Mourant, Elian (Now CMS) and Butterfield Group (to name just a few). Having spent 8 years at Ogier (Elian) as Global Change Manager, I developed a real understanding of what organisations like this require in terms of document and email management solutions, through my first-hand experience. From system design through to security, feature sets and the all-important user experience, I know what matters most to these firms. Through consultancy sessions, I want to help these firms to make sure their technology is truly delivering impact. Through sharing my advice with these businesses, I am helping organisations in Trust and Administration, Fund Management and Wealth Management to optimise the iManage platform, in order to drive user adoption and satisfaction by making sure tools are truly fit for purpose.
We are seeing a lot of exciting new features and enhancements coming to the iManage platform via the product roadmap, which we will be showcasing at our iManage Executive Briefing later this year in Jersey.
3. Which new iManage feature are you most excited about, and how do you see it benefitting the clients you work with?
I’m most excited about the AI-powered assistant and advanced semantic search features on the iManage roadmap, as these offer such a broad range of benefits to users. I’m also particularly pleased to see the introduction of document summarisation integrated into the iManage platform, as well as contextual suggestions, which will help users to easily explore content within iManage and get answers to their questions.
These features will also lead to time savings for document drafting processes, as AI summaries and contextual suggestions will make it easier and faster than ever before to draft documents.
Advancements like the natural‑language search functionality are really exciting, enabling searching across repositories. This will directly provide faster knowledge retrievals across the iManage platform, so users can find assets such as precedents, clauses, and matter history with natural‑language queries, instead of manual folder‑searching.
As with most businesses, Trust and Administration organisations can struggle to identify and measure specific efficiency gains for new technologies. However, these new advancements such as the AI assistant, advanced semantic search and document summarisation feature will all lead to direct, measurable time savings which can have a huge impact in driving faster turnaround times, and unlocking more time for billable work.
In my many years working in enterprise technology, I’ve helped businesses to adapt to change, with user feedback and strong governance at the core of change programmes. Through Tiger Eye and KoP Consultancy’s strategic partnership, we can specifically help organisations in Trust and Administration, Fund Management and Wealth Management to realise these new iManage benefits with tailored consultancy, workflow mapping, adoption plans, change management support and curated training.
All in all, I am really looking forward to discussing these roadmap updates with clients and prospective clients during meetings and our upcoming iManage Executive Briefing.
